iPhone 12 Pro and Pro Max was launched alongside iPhone 12 and 12 mini. We have covered the 12 series you can read about them here. iPhone 12 Pro starts in India at ₹1,19,990 whereas the iPhone 12 Pro Max starts at ₹1,29,990. The specs are similar to that of lower 12 series and this article will focus more towards the specs which are different.
SCREEN:
iPhone 12 Pro has a 6.1 inch FHD+ OLED display same as the one on iPhone 12. Has got 86.89% screen-to-body ratio. It comes with 460 ppi density and has the same notch on the top of the screen.
iPhone 12 Pro Max packs in 6.7 inch OLED FHD+ display which is larger than it's predecessor. Has got 87.55% screen-to-body ratio. It has 458ppi density and again comes with the same notch.
Both smartphone displays are protected by the ceramic shield glass which is said to offer 4x drop protection.
CAMERAS:
iPhone 12 Pro has got a triple camera module at the back with primary being a 12MP f/1.6 wide lens, secondary 12MP f/2.0 2x telephoto zoom and third 12MP f/2.4 ultra wide angle lens. Supports OIS, HDR video. Selfie camera is again a 12MP f/2.2 shooter. It can shoot 4K@24/30/60 fps and 1080p@30/60/120/240 fps.
iPhone 12 Pro Max also comes with similar triple camera setup with 12MP f/2.6 wide lens, 12MP f/2.2 2.5x telephoto zoom lens and third 12MP f/2.4 ultra wide lens. Selfie camera is the same 12MP one. Max's rear primary camera 's sensor is optically stabilized instead of the lens which is optically stabilized on other three iPhones. The sensor size of the Max is said to be larger.
BATTERY:
iPhone 12 Pro series will give 17 hours of video playback as compared to iPhone 12 which gives 15 hours of video playback. Chargers won't be provided with any of the iPhones in the box nd you have to buy them separately if needed.
OTHER FEATURES:
All the iPhone 12 models have same Apple A14 Bionic chip, similar design and build, Face ID, 5G support, IP68 water and dust resistance, lightning USB connector, iOS 14, all the other necessary sensors, dual sim support one being e-sim are standard on all four iPhones.
iPhone 12 Pro and 12 Pro Max are available in four different colours Pacific Blue, Gold, Graphite and Silver.
