Raji : An Ancient Epic is a game fully developed in India and is the first game to be based on Indian mythology. This is a RPG action game which is made for gaming consoles and PCs. This game is fully developed by Nodding Heads in Pune. This game is currently available in PC, XBOX, PS, Nintendo Switch. STORY:
In this game you will experience the story of two siblings Raji and Golu. Both brother and sister are separated by the attacking demonic army and are now in the middle of a great war. Raji takes it upon herself to find her brother and to put a stop on this reckless war. However, this can only happen when she passes all the threats and obstacles created by the demon, Mahabalasura. Goddess Durga and Lord Vishnu teaches her combat and magical skills and also narrate the story.
VISUAL AND GRAPHICS:
For the first time ever Raji features a world set in ancient India infused with Indian and Balinese mythology. This game includes several beautiful artwork in the background which are hand-painted rendered in 3D. The artworks are totally based on Mahabharata and Ramayana. The game has different camera angles which changes according to the movement of the protagonist. This game definitely has some stunning visuals which we will definitely enjoy due to the artwork, colours, places, details, etc.
COMBAT AND FIGHTING SKILLS:
While playing the game you will encounter a lot of demons and you will have to show your battling skills. For the same, you have a lot of weapons and powers which your protagonist will learn as she makes progress. These weapons and powers are gifted by Gods as she is the chosen one. You will be gifted with weapons like Trishul, Sharanga bow, etc. to battle the bad ones. You will have to finish puzzles, explore massive forts and palaces and finally beat all bosses to end the game.
This game takes place in the forts made during medieval period in Rajasthan. These forts will be the arena for various fights and will offer some breathtaking sights. This games stunning art design, visual beauty and concepts add Indian flavour to the game and puts this game in a new kind of genre. The game developers have tried to make as Indian as possible but one thing to notice is that the game is not available in Hindi narration whereas has support for international language as India is not a big market for when it comes to selling of games and hence it is targeted towards people outside India which is a reason India is behind in terms of developing games. Nodding Heads have tried to break the odds and have made a very good game that you should atleast look at.
