1. APPLE AND SAMSUNG TO SHAKE HANDS WITH INDIAN GOVERNMENT'S PLI SCHEME.

Production Linked Incentives (PLI) offers companies incentives on sales which would attract more smartphone manufacturers to start production in India. Initiated by Indian Government, Apple and Samsung have already started to increase their production through the PLI plan. Samsung already has world's biggest manufacturing unit in Noida, India. Samsung has also invested $500 million for setting up display manufacturing facility in India. With this PLI scheme, companies have recently started shifting manufacturing units from China.






2. GOOGLE PIXEL 4A LAUNCH TEASED ON 3RD AUGUST.

Google earlier delayed the launch event of Pixel 4A due to cancelation of Google I/O conference this year because of global pandemic. They have now teased its launched on August 3 finally. It is rumored to come with 5.8 inch FHD+ display, Qualcomm Snapdragon 730 processor and best segment leading camera as well.




3. ONEPLUS BECOMES LEADING PREMIUM SMARTPHONE BRAND IN INDIA FOR Q2 2020.

OnePlus recently refreshed their smartphone lineup with premium OnePlus 8 and OnePlus 8 Pro. With the arrival of these phones, the market share of OnePlus has increased in India and now ranks first for Q2 2020. They have captured 29% market share followed by Samsung and Apple.





4. BEWARE, NEW ANDROID MALWARE 'BLACKROCK' CAN STEAL YOUR DATA.

New Android malware "Blackrock" has been now discovered by India's top Cyber-Security Agency, CERT-In. The agency said, "It has reported that a new Android malware strain dubbed 'Blackrock' equipped with data stealing capabilities, is attacking a wide range of Android apps. It can steal credentials and credit card information from over 300 plus apps like email clients, e-commerce apps, virtual currency, messaging or social media apps, entertainment apps, banking and financial apps etc. To avoid it, CERT-In has advised not to install apps from unknown sources.



5. THOMPSON PATH 9A, 9R and OATH PRO NEW ANDROID TVS LAUNCHED IN INDIA.

Thompson, French TV brand, has launched Thompson Path 9A, 9R and OATH PRO Android TV series in India starting at INR 10,999/- . 9A series have 4K capabilities. TV size ranges from 32 inches to 55 inches. OATH PRO series have TVs from 43 inch to 75 inch all 4K models.





6. INDIAN GOVERNMENT ANNOUNCED 'MAUSAM' APP FOR REGULAR WEATHER UPDATE.

Mausam app, made by Indian Government, will show current humidity, temperature, wind speed and direction for 200 cities. It will further will be updated for 450 cities. The information will be updated 8 times a day. Users can access weather forecasts, radar images and warnings of impending weather events in this app. This app is now available on Google Play Store.
