Smartphone is now a vital part of human life. We humans have each and every bit of information in our palm. And major part of it is "Processor". Processor controls everything on a smartphone and it is the brain of electronic devices. Processors have evolved a lot in recent years. Earlier, even flagship phones never used to give us a smooth experience. But now, smartphones including budget devices are capable to provide smooth experience even I gaming. Today we are going to guide you through smartphone processors at every price to make your choice smooth and best. At every price you will find Mediatek and Snapdragon processors being dominating the market but we will also discuss others as well.

PROCESSORS UNDER ₹10K

1. Mediatek Helios G70

It is the most powerful and latest processor that you can get under this price. It can give you decent gaming performance. There are as of now only 2 phones in India with G70 (Realme C3 and Realme Narzo 10A). It is also an octa core processor. Antutu score (app that tests the overall performance of the phone and gives a score. Higher the score, higher is the performance) ranges till 2 lac.

2. Snapdragon 665

Released in 2019, this processor is the only Snapdragon chipset available under this price. It is used only in quite a few phones (Realme 5i, Realme 5s and Vivo U10). Gaming experience is decent but comparatively lower than Mediatek Helios G70. Due to GST hike fare, mobile phones have become more expensive. Snapdragon 665 has an octa-core chipset and its Antutu benchmark ranges till 1.6 lac points.

3. Mediatek P22 (MT6762)

P22 is the ancestor of P35 chip but if you look at number of phones running on it you will be surprised. Overall performance of this processor is just OK. We would not recommend this for heavy gaming. It has an octa-core chipset with Antutu score ranging till 1 lac. But as it is a last-gen processor, we would recommend to look for phones under ₹7k. You can also find phones with P35 under ₹10k.

PROCESSORS UNDER ₹15K

This is the price range where the competition is at its peak.

1. Snapdragon 720G

This is one of the best mobile chipset released this year at this price. Phones running on this processor can handle daily tasks with a breeze. Gaming performance is best at this price. This has an octa-core chipset and is fairly power efficient as well. Antutu benchmark ranges till 2.76 lac points. Redmi Note 9 Pro & Poco M2 Pro are some of the phones running on this processor.

2. Mediatek Helios G90T

Mediatek G series processors are built for gaming and G90T is the best among it. You can get high frame rates with this chipset thus providing best gaming experience under this price. It can easily handle daily tasks. Antutu score can hit as high as 2.9 lac points. Realme 6 & Redmi Note 8 Pro are the best available phones running on this processor.

3. Exynos 9611

Exynos chipsets are produced by Samsung. Exynos 9611 is used in Samsung mid-range phones. It can also easily handle daily tasks. But when it comes to gaming, it does not provide stable frame rates compared to Mediatek Helios G90T. Therefore Exynos 9611 is not suitable for long hours of gaming. But still overall performance of this processor is good. Antutu ranges till 2 lac. Samsung M21 and Samsung M30S are the available smartphones running on this processor.

These are the three best processors under this price range. Due to GST hike fare, price may vary depending on the products.
Honorable mentions: Mediatek Helios G80 (Realme Narzo 10) and G85 (Upcoming - Redmi Note 9), Snapdragon 712 (Vivo Z1X, Vivo Z1 Pro) and 675 (Redmi Note 7 Pro) and Kirien 710 (Honor 9X).
