 1. GOOGLE'S NEW AI CAN HELP BLIND PEOPLE TO RUN INDEPENDENTLY.

Thomas Panek, CEO of non-profit organization for the blind, asked Google developers if they can build a software to guide blind people to run without any help. After a year, Google has developed an AI-powered system which uses smartphone cameras which will be connected to a bone-conducting headphones. The runner has to wear the headphones and Google has created a custom harness to hold the smartphone around the waist. Project Guidelines App connects the smartphone camera and the headphones. AI detects the track assist the person to stay on the lane while running.

2. EPIC GAME STORE NOW SHOWS INDIAN PRICES OF GAMES.



Epic, California based developers, earlier said that they will support Indian pricing of games from 2021. But for some reason they have started rolling out Indian prices of games. Gamers in India can now buy games from Epic Game Store without converting Dollar prices to Rupees. Some games are priced at exact conversion of Dollar prices and some like Cyberpunk 2077 is expensive in Epic Store when compared to Steam Game Store prices. Epic Game Store now supports 25 countries.

3. SAMSUNG GALAXY Z FOLD 3 RUMOURED TO HAVE A UNDER-DISPLAY CAMERA.





Under-Display camera tech has been in testing stages for some time and recently ZTE announced their Axon 20 5G to have this tech. With this technology, manufacturers can hide the camera under the display.  Samsung's Fold series has been very innovative lineup from past two years and now rumours say that the next version will have under-display camera. It will be interesting to see how maturely will Samsung implement it on their devices.

4. VIVO HAS UNVEILED ORIGIN OS AND IS GOING TO REPLACE FUNTOUCH OS.






Vivo has been criticized a lot for using heavy and bloated Funtouch OS. Now they have made a new Operating System known as Origin OS which was unveiled by them recently for their smartphones. It is also an custom OS but brings new and useful features with it. They have mainly focused on three regions i.e. design, smoothness and convenience.  Vivo has officially announced the roadmap as well. Vivo X60 series smartphones will run it out-of-the-box whereas the Vivo NEX 3S, X50 series, and some IQOO devices will receive the update before January 31st, 2021.

5. QUALCOMM ANNOUNCED E-SPORT TOURNAMENT FOR INDIA WITH PRIZE MONEY OF ₹50 LAKHS

Qualcomm, for the first time ever, has announced an e-sport tournament for Indian gamers in India. The tournament has a total cash prize of about ₹50 lakhs. The official game title chosen by them for the tournament is Garena Free Fire. And the best part of it is gamers don't need to pay any entry fee to participate. Qualcomm has said that they will announce more regarding the same on their official Twitter handle.

6. YOUTUBE TO SHOW ADS ON VIDEOS OF SMALL CREATORS WITHOUT GIVING THEM REVENUE.






YouTube has been a huge platform for content creators where they can earn by enrolling on YouTube Partner Program. With this program, creators can show ads on their videos and can earn some money. But YouTube has changed its monetization policy on last Wednesday and according to it YouTube will start showing ads on videos from channels who have not enrolled in YPP. As they are not in the program they will not be paid by YouTube.

2. Microsoft launched new Surface Book 3 and Surface Go 2 devices in India. Surface Book 3 is a  2 in 1 laptop where you can detach the screen and use it as a tablet whereas Surface Go 2 is a tablet running Windows. Unfortunately, Surface Book 3 is only available for commercial customers. The starting price are ₹1,56,299 for Surface Book 3 and ₹42,999 for Surface Go 2.

3. Realme has announced that they have sold 6.3 million smartphones in India during festive season. Further report says, company has also sold 1,90,000 TVs 3,50,000 smart watches and 1.25 million audio products this season. Overall the no. of devices sold reaches 8.3 million.

4. Oppo X 2021 a concept roll able display smartphone was displayed by Oppo at INNO Day 2020. The phone has an OLED display which can be extended  and shortened by rolling the display outwards or inwards.
