1. REALME UI 2.0 'EARLY ACCESS' ROADMAP RELEASED.
Realme UI 2.0 was announced this month alongside Narzo 20 series. The new UI brought more features and customization. This UI is based on Oppo's ColourOS 11 and is now more close to vanilla stock Android but with more features. Realme has now announced the ' early access ' roadmap and as discussed earlier in our article the first phone to get Realme UI 2.0 will be Realme X50 Pro in September 2020. Other phones include:
November 2020 - Realme 7 Pro, Narzo 20.
December 2020 - Realme 6 Pro, Realme 7, Realme Narzo 20 Pro, Realme X2 Pro.
January 2021 - Realme X3, Realme X3 Superzoom, Realme X2, Realme 6, Realme C15, Realme C12.
February 2021 - Realme 6i, Realme Narzo 10.
March 2021 - Realme C3, Narzo10A.
Q2 2021 - Realme X, Realme XT, Realme 3Pro, Realme 5 Pro, Realme Narzo 20A.
Stable version of the software will be released over time.
2. AMAZON FIRE TV STICK AND FIRE TV STICK LITE LAUNCHED IN INDIA.
Amazon Fire TV Stick is a device that connects to any TV via HDMI port and converts it into a smart TV where you can watch YouTube, Prime Video, etc. Amazon has launched upgraded version of the same in India .
New Fire TV stick has 50% improved performance as compared to last version and consumes 50% less power. It features Dolby Atmos support, Alexa voice remote, dual band Wi-Fi support and Full HD 60 fps with HDR support out-of-the-box. It starts at ₹3,999.
Fire TV stick lite is launched at as a competitor to Xiaomi Mi TV Stick which was launched at a price tag of ₹2,799. It offers Full HD streaming and HDR support. It starts at ₹2,999.
3. GOOGLE MAPS TO SHOW COVID HOTSPOTS.
Google has added new COVID layer in Google Maps. Now people can track the growth of cases via Google Maps. This layer will show the density of cases in different regions. After receiving the update you can detect a COVID-19 info layer when you will tap layers button. Density of the cases is represented by colours.
Grey : less than 1 case.
Yellow : 1-10 cases.
Orange : 10-20 cases.
Dark Orange : 20-30 cases.
Red : 30-40 cases.
Dark Red : 40+ cases.
This features will be available across 220 countries. The update for Android and iOS will be received in the upcoming days.
4. REALME TO LAUNCH NEW 4K SMART TV IN OCTOBER.
After launching LED TVs earlier this year, and they are now expanding their portfolio by launching 55 inch 4K smart TV. Realme CEO Madhav Sheth has officially confirmed the launch in October. The smart TV is going to use an SLED panel which is a tweaked version of QLED display.
5. MOTO E7 PLUS LAUNCHED IN INDIA AT ₹9,499.
Motorola has refreshed their budget E series lineup with all new E7 Plus. The phone brings new Qualcomm Snapdragon 460 SoC, has a 6.5 inch HD+ IPS LCD display with water drop notch, 48+2MP dual camera with 8MP front camera and everything is backed up by a 5000mAh battery with 10 watt charging support. They have launched only one variant with 4GB RAM and 64GB storage. The device will go on sale from September 30th on Flipkart.
6. JIO ANNOUNCED NEW 'JIO POSTPAID PLUS' PLANS.
Jio this week had announced their new postpaid plus plans starting at ₹399. With this new plans they are offering additional benefits including complimentary subscription to Netflix, Prime Video and Disney+ Hotstar. Other features include data rollover upto 200GB, Wi-Fi calling, in-flight connectivity on international flights, lower ISD and international roaming charges. Plans are ₹399 with 75GB, ₹599 with 100GB, ₹799 with 1500GB, ₹999 with 200GB and ₹1,499 with 300GB data. All the plans have unlimited calls and SMS as well as subscription to JioTV, Jio Cinema, Jio Saavn.

1. OnePlus 8T confirmed to launch on October 14th. The company has also confirmed that the 8T will support 65 watt fast charging. It will be available on Amazon after the launch.
2. Samsung has teased their new Galaxy F41. The phone is supposed to ship with a 6000mAh battery, sAMOLED display and 64MP triple camera setup. The phone is rumoured to be priced around ₹15,000.
3. HP has launched new all-in-one desktop PCs HP AIO 24 and Pavilion 27. AIO 24 and Pavilion 27 will have Intel i5 10th gen CPUs and both will ship with NVIDIA MX330 GPU. The price starts at ₹49,999 to ₹99,999.
4. Google Pay will now support tap-to-pay option with Axis and SBI cards. This option of payment is currently only available with VISA cards.
5. According to reports, Jio is going to launch entry-level budget smartphones round ₹4,000. They are in talks with domestic smartphone manufacturers for the production of phones that can run Android. They might tie up with their partners Google and Qualcomm for the same.
