Asus, Taiwanese Giant, is one of the leading company and is dedicated for creating products of today and tomorrow's smart life. This products include laptops, motherboards, graphic cards, displays, desktop PCs, servers, wireless solutions, mobile phones and networking devices. They launched ROG series smartphones that changed the level of gaming experience in smartphones which gained high popularity. They were silent for past few months and were not launching smartphones. But now they have came up with much awaited new gaming phone "Asus ROG 3". In first glance, this phone looks to be extremely powerful and is made for supreme gaming. So lets' look at what ROG 3 brings to the table.
DESIGN:
ROG 3 brings the glass sandwich design to the table. This year it is more of a plain design as compared to last gen models and looks much less as a gaming phone and carry forwards the RGB lit logo. It also has a smaller cooling vent on the back than ROG 2. ROG 3 features Corning's Gorilla Glass 6 on the front whereas Corning's Gorilla Glass 3 on the back with aluminum frame. It also has Cooper cooling vapor chamber and large graphite cooling pad for better thermal performance and comes with in-display fingerprint scanner.
SCREEN:
ROG 3 supports 6.59 inch FHD+ AMOLED screen with 144Hz refresh rate, 1ms touch response and HDR 10+ support. The features also includes 270Hz touch sampling rate with 10 bit panel which shows 1 billion colors. It has bezels to the top and the bottom and offers 650 nits of brightness.
PROCESSOR:
This smartphone is powered by all new Qualcomm Snapdragon 865+ processor which is the fastest android processor yet. It's built on 7nm FinFet process (Less the FinFet process, more battery efficient the phone is) and is an octa-core chipset (1 x 3.1GHz Kryo 585, 3 x 2.42GHz Kryo 585 and 4 x 1.8GHz Kryo 585) and has Adreno 650 GPU.
SOFTWARE:
ROG 3 runs ROG UI on top of Android 10. It offers 2 skins on with more of a gaming phone look and other with normal look. The UI also offers custom features for gaming.
CAMERAS:
This gaming phone carries a triple camera setup at the back and a single camera at the front. 64MP Primary camera (F/1.8) + 13MP ultra-wide (F/2.4) + 5MP macro (F/2.0) at the back and a 24MP snapper at the front. It can shoot videos upto 8K@30fps, 4K@30/60/120fps with 64MP camera. 24MP can shoot videos at 1080p@30fps.
BATTERY:
Asus ROG 3 is juiced up by humongous 6000maH non-removable Li-Po battery. It supports fast charging upto 30W and adapter comes out-of-the-box. It has an interesting new feature called "Slow charging mode" which extends the battery health so that users can enjoy playing more.
PORTS:
Supports two USB type-C port at the bottom and has a separate port of the side for attaching separate gaming modules. It also features touch sensitive buttons which can be used for gaming. ROG 3 supports a 7 magnet front firing stereo speakers and has no headphone jack available. It has dual SIM support but has no SD card slot.
SENSORS:
It supports all kinds of necessary sensors like:-
- Accelerometer, ambient light, gyroscope, magnetometer and a proximity sensor.
- Dual band Wi-Fi, Wi-Fi direct, Wi-Fi 802.11 a/b/g/n/ac/6.

OTHERS:
Asus ROG 3 comes in two models: 8GB RAM + 128GB ROM (INR 49,999/-) and 12GB RAM + 256GB ROM (INR 57,999/-) supporting LPDDRS RAM and UFS 3.1 storage. Other accessories are available separately which includes ROG Cetra earphones, ROG Kunai 3 gamepad, ROG clip, Twin view dock 3, Premium glass protector and desktop dock.
